In the beginning
Our historyPSD1 and 2 (European Payment Services Directives) pave the way for Open Banking. An opportunity to innovate and take advantage of technology to build secure, more fluid payment solutions. At the same time, traditional payment methods such as credit card, bank transfer or cheque have limitations that hamper sales, induce asynchronous decisions and generate time-consuming tasks (limited ceilings, limited visibility on receipt of funds, manual reconciliations, processing costs, delayed deliveries...).
The Fintecture project was born. To transform the traditional credit transfer, which is deeply rooted in high-value purchases and at the heart of B2B transactions, and yet has never been modernized!

After more than 2 years of R&D, Fintecture is activating its first "open banking" transfers in 2020. Based on Payment Initiation Service (PIS), the Immediate Transfer automates an account-to-account payment as seamlessly as a card payment, while eliminating ceiling limits and technical intermediaries.
Fintecture quickly won over key players in their sector: Edenred, Leroy Merlin, Auchan, Bricoman, Société Générale, Allianz Trade... The international roots of these customers guided deployment in several European countries and in different purchasing contexts, whether in e-commerce, in-store or in order-to-cash cycles.
He has also developed an in-depth understanding of the complex use cases involved in inter-company exchanges, and the need to develop appropriate B2B solutions. In addition to Virement Immédiat, based on open banking, these include Virement Intelligent and Buy now Pay Later, transposing Fintecture's technological know-how into complementary offers.
Fintecture convinces leading investors and raises €32 million. The team expands to include talent based all over Europe, half of it in R&D.
Today, Fintecture is the fintech company recording a large majority of payment initiation volumes in France, and has multiplied its monthly transactions by 5 in 2023, across its entire product range.
Values
Our beliefsAt Fintecture, we believe that payment is more than just a financial flow: it's at the heart of a value chain, and a determining factor in customer satisfaction, commercial efficiency and internal productivity, and therefore growth!
Open banking has introduced unprecedented technical capabilities for accessing banking information and orchestrating payments. However, this technology does not meet merchants' needs unless it is surrounded by additional services to transmit clear payment statuses, manage refunds, integrate with business tools and guarantee secure transactions.
That's why we invest daily in our products and carefully study each use case, to adapt to the realities on the ground and deliver on the promise of payment for additional revenue for our customers.
