Tools for Professionals is a pure player specialized in the sale of online tools for professionals and individuals. Created in 2012 and currently operating on the French market with a team of 13 people, the e-commerce site already has a catalog totaling 14,000 product references, making it a major player in the sector.
Challenges: circumventing CB payment limits and reducing bank fees
Outils des Pros only used traditional payment methods (bank transfer and credit card) before offering the Fintecture solution to its customers.
The pure player was looking for a modern means of payment, capable of meeting two major challenges.
First of all, Outils des Pros wanted to allow all its customers to bypass their credit card payment limits. Orders for tooling materials often exceed 1000 euros. However, customers who paid with a credit card were blocked and had to call their bank in order to increase their payment capacity, a long and restrictive operation. Some were even forced to place their order in several installments to avoid being blocked by their limit. For these reasons, many orders were not finalized and the after-sales service teams at Outils des Pros had to spend a lot of time accompanying customers who had payment difficulties.
In addition, Outils des Pros wanted to offer its professional customers a payment solution that would enable them to reduce their bank charges considerably. Professionals are indeed impacted by the interchange fees linked to the CB pro, unlike private individuals who are not.
